Bee Museum

This is the only Bee and Natural History Museum in Greece. It gives its visitor the opportunity to live a unique experience and get to know the wonderful world of bees in transparent observation beehives, the tradition and history of beekeeping in Rhodes as well as the processing of honey.

The museum can host organized or individual visits and field trips offering the following:

• Series of exhibits on beekeeping from 200 years ago until nowadays.
• Presentation of old and modern beekeeping methods.
• Observation of the life of bees in their “house”.
• Information concerning the life of the bee and its products with the use of audiovisual material (Video-Projector-Cinema, DVD, cd -rom etc.)
• Exhibition of old tools of farmers and beekeepers.
• Tour in a honey packaging workshop (upon request).
• Analysis and quality control of honey in a laboratory.
• Observation of the apicultural flora.
